PICO-K is a laser system for selected dermatologic treatments, including tattoo removal and benign pigmented lesions. Its 1064 nanometre tattoo indication covers specified dark colours across Fitzpatrick skin types I to VI. Its 532 nanometre tattoo indication is limited to skin types I to III.
A solid state laser generates light that travels through an articulated arm to a selected handpiece. The system uses picosecond pulses at 1064 or 532 nanometres. The handpieces provide an aiming beam to identify the treatment area, and a footswitch activates laser delivery.
Treatment Scope
Benign pigmented lesion treatment is specified for skin types I to IV. At 1064 nanometres, the system also has indications for acne scars in skin types II to V and wrinkles in skin types I to IV.
