PICO SHINING, including the PICO-K model, is a solid-state laser system for dermatologic surgical and aesthetic procedures. It provides 1064 nm Nd:YAG and 532 nm KTP output, with picosecond pulses used in specified tattoo and benign pigmented-lesion applications.
Laser energy passes from the console through an articulated arm to an interchangeable handpiece at the treatment area. The system includes a touch-screen display, footswitch and protective eyewear, with a key switch, interlock and emergency stop among its controls.
Handpieces and Wavelength Scope
The handpiece range includes Zoom, Collimated, Array MLA 110 and Peak MLA 60 options. At 1064 nm, additional indications include acne scars in Fitzpatrick skin types II to V and wrinkles in types I to IV. At 532 nm, tattoo removal is limited to types I to III.
