The PICO PREMIUM Picosecond Nd:YAG Laser removes tattoos in dermatology and general and plastic surgery. Its 1064 nm wavelength treats dark-colored inks, including dark inks within multicolored tattoos, in Fitzpatrick skin types I to VI. Its 532 nm wavelength treats lighter inks, including red and yellow, in skin types I to III.
A flashlamp excites the Nd:YAG laser medium to generate light, which travels through an articulated arm and handpiece. The operator selects settings on the control panel and triggers emission with a footswitch when the device is ready. An internal cooling system controls heat from laser operation.
Pulse Settings
Both wavelengths use 300-picosecond pulses. The system provides adjustable spot sizes from 2 to 10 mm and pulse repetition rates from 1 to 10 Hz. A visible aiming beam supports positioning.
