Vbeam Prima is a pulsed laser system for treating benign skin and vascular lesions, selected pigmented lesions and wrinkles. Its 595 nm indications also include inflammatory acne. For children, the 595 nm laser is indicated for port wine stains and infantile or congenital hemangiomas.
The system combines a flashlamp excited pulsed dye laser at 595 nm with an Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm. The selected wavelength delivers pulses for the corresponding tissue treatment. The 1064 nm indications include coagulation and hemostasis of benign vascular lesions and treatment of specified benign pigmented lesions.
Treatment Delivery
Vbeam Prima supports handpieces with different spot sizes, including adjustable 3 to 15 mm options. The 595 nm pulse duration ranges from 0.45 to 40 milliseconds; the 1064 nm source supports pulses up to 60 milliseconds. Treatment settings depend on the selected wavelength and indication.

5 of these are Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
