The AI series IPL Hair Removal Device uses intense pulsed light to reduce unwanted body hair. A xenon arc flashlamp emits light that is absorbed by hair follicles, heating them to reduce subsequent hair growth.
The handheld unit is powered by an external adapter and activated by a finger switch. A contact sensor prevents light emission unless the treatment window is fully against the skin.
Skin Detection
A skin color detection system checks whether the treatment area has a suitable skin tone and prevents emission outside the supported range. Models AI01, AI06, AI08, AI16 and AI17 are intended for over-the-counter use by adults.
