The KCA522 IPL Hair Removal Device is an over-the-counter device for personal hair removal at home. It delivers intense pulsed light through a fixed treatment window to reduce unwanted hair and provide long-term reduction in the number of hairs regrowing after a treatment regimen.
An external power adapter supplies the device, and a finger switch activates treatment pulses. A skin contact sensor prevents light emission unless the window is fully against the skin. Integrated cooling operates throughout treatment, and five output intensity levels are available.

The device is intended for Fitzpatrick skin types I through V. Supported areas include the underarms, bikini line, arms, facial hair below the chin line, back and legs. The fixed treatment window has a 3.3 cm² spot size.
