Wave Electrode detects surface muscle electrical signals to control an external upper limb prosthesis. It senses voluntary activation of residual muscles noninvasively and sends an analog output proportional to the contraction to the prosthetic hand’s electronics.
The compact active electrode is intended for unilateral or bilateral upper limb amputees from the transradial level. It is compatible only with the Adam’s Hand prosthetic hand.
