Electro-Gel is a conductive gel used between the scalp and external electrodes during human EEG or evoked potential recordings. It reduces electrical impedance at the skin interface so brain activity can pass to the electrode and recording equipment.
The off-white, water-miscible gel uses sodium chloride as its conductive ingredient in an aqueous mixture containing thickening and moisture-retaining ingredients. This product is the 16-ounce jar configuration.
Contact Time and Storage
Direct contact should not exceed eight hours in one recording session. The gel has a one-year shelf life when stored at room temperature with the container tightly closed. It is intended only for external electrodes.
