The Naviswiss Navigation Unit is the handheld tracking component of the Naviswiss Hip Navigation System. With the system software and reference tags, it helps surgeons determine anatomical alignment axes and position implant components during total hip arthroplasty.
The image-free system uses an infrared stereo camera to track reference tags attached to bone or surgical instruments. Registration relates those references to the patient’s anatomy. The connected computing platform processes tracking information to support intraoperative measurements of leg length, offset and cup position.
Surgical Compatibility
The system is intended for trained surgeons in operating theaters and is compatible only with acetabular cup impactors having a parallel, straight segment. The navigation unit is covered with a sterile, single-use drape for use in the sterile field.
