PointerShell Universal is a reusable adaptor that adds electromagnetic navigation to compatible shavers or surgical instruments without a motor in the handle. Used with the Fiagon Navigation System, it helps locate anatomical structures during open or percutaneous ENT procedures using a CT- or MR-based anatomical model.
The adaptor mechanically attaches to the instrument and contains a sensor tracked within the navigation system’s low-energy magnetic field. Navigation software displays the instrument position on preoperative scans. Universal accommodates instrument shafts from 2.5 to 5 mm in diameter.

Procedure and Preparation
The reference anatomy must be a rigid ENT structure, such as the paranasal sinuses or mastoid. Example uses include intranasal, sinus, transsphenoidal and ENT-related anterior skull-base procedures. The adaptor is delivered nonsterile and must be sterilized by the user before reuse.
