GTK Veress Needles are used to establish pneumoperitoneum before trocar and cannula insertion during laparoscopic procedures. The filing describes a spring-loaded blunt stylet with inner and outer needles, handle, spring and valve.
The two models have 120 mm and 150 mm needle-body lengths. The device is single-use, supplied sterile and intended for a hospital setting.
Insertion Purpose
The needle is inserted percutaneously into the peritoneal cavity to insufflate carbon dioxide and establish pneumoperitoneum before trocar placement. Its spring-loaded blunt stylet is connected to an insufflator through a Luer connector, and the product is supplied sterile. Use is limited to a hospital setting.
