The Unimax Veress Needle provides percutaneous access to the peritoneal cavity for carbon dioxide insufflation before trocar placement. It is used to establish pneumoperitoneum during gynecological and other laparoscopic procedures.
The needle incorporates a spring loaded blunt stylet within the access assembly. This movable obturator is part of the needle’s entry mechanism, while the device provides the access route used to introduce insufflation gas.
Supply
The Veress Needle is available in 120 and 150 mm lengths. It is supplied sterile after ethylene oxide sterilization and is intended for a single use.
