The RI Witness Embryology Heated Plate maintains the temperature of human reproductive tissue, including oocytes and embryos, during assisted reproduction procedures. Dishes containing the tissue rest on its heated surface, which is typically installed in a flow hood or on a laboratory work bench.
Heat passes by conduction from the plate to the dishes. The device combines a central clear window with a larger solid baseplate and an integrated temperature controller. The clear window provides a heated area beneath the microscope, while the surrounding plate accommodates additional dishes.
