The RI MSC is a chamber that prepares sperm for IVF, ICSI and intrauterine insemination by migration and sedimentation. Its shape provides a surrounding gallery and a central well, allowing motile sperm to move through culture medium and collect in the well.
The chamber is preloaded with culture medium, and semen is placed in the gallery. During incubation, motile sperm swim into the overlying medium and then settle by gravity into the central well, separating that collected sample from the material remaining in the gallery.

Construction and Scope
The chamber is molded from untreated medical-grade polystyrene and supplied sterile for single use. It is not recommended for sperm samples with a total motility rate below 40 percent.
