The SL 130 is an AC-powered slit lamp microscope for examining the front part of the eye. It is used to assess structures from the corneal epithelium to the posterior capsule and to help identify changes caused by disease or injury.
Slit controls allow horizontal adjustment from either side and vertical adjustment using a pinhole-type slit. The illuminator can be positioned centrally for viewing. The instrument is used by physicians, ophthalmologists, optometrists and other eye care providers.

It is used to aid in the diagnosis of disease or trauma which affect the structural properties of the anterior eye segment. The optional SL cam 5.0 is a digital imaging solution that allows the user to take images and video sequences for documentation purposes of the anterior eye segment during slit lamp examinations.
