The HFC-1 is a noncontact fundus camera that captures digital images of the front and retinal portions of the eye. It assists clinicians in evaluating ocular health without requiring a pupil-dilating medication.
Infrared light illuminates the anterior eye, while a white LED illuminates the retina. Image sensors capture color fundus images for viewing on the built-in touchscreen. Automatic tracking helps align and focus the camera, and automatic capture is available when alignment and focus are achieved.

Image Capture Modes
The camera provides single macular and optic disc image modes. A panorama mode can stitch together up to seven separately captured adjacent images. Images can be stored and transferred through USB or a network connection, including transfer to a DICOM server.
