KOWA nonmyd WX is a retinal camera that captures standard and stereo photographs without medication to dilate the pupil. It combines a camera body with an external digital single lens reflex camera for image capture.
An infrared LED illuminates the eye during observation, and a xenon flash supplies light for photography. The camera captures the pair of stereo images simultaneously in a single shot, avoiding a separate exposure for each view.

Image Handling
A USB port transfers images to a computer, and the camera can connect to the KOWA portable VK-2 image filing system. Standard retinal photography can be performed when the pupil diameter is greater than 3.7 mm.
