ARTHRO-Pump PA304 provides irrigation, joint distension and fluid aspiration during arthroscopy. It uses a microprocessor-controlled roller pump to move sterile irrigation fluid through a dedicated tube set.
The roller mechanism works on the peristaltic principle, while a separate suction pump creates negative pressure on the outflow side of the arthroscope. A touchscreen provides controls and presets for different joint procedures.
Tube Sets and Recognition
The pump works with specified irrigation, suction and vacuum tube sets, including single-connection and Y-shaped suction sets. RFID recognition checks the inflow tube set’s position and invalidates it after irrigation starts to prevent reuse. Applications include knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, ankle and wrist arthroscopy.
