The M-Fix Acromioclavicular Device reduces and stabilizes the acromioclavicular joint after syndesmotic disruption. It provides fixation during healing, including separations caused by disruption of the coracoclavicular ligaments. The implant is a suture-band system supplied sterile for one-time use.
A polyethylene terephthalate band is tensioned and secured with an integrated low-profile connector or button. The connector is made of titanium or stainless steel. The band and connector form the implanted fixation assembly used to hold the reduced joint.
