The PRECICE Plate is an adjustable internal fixation implant for limb lengthening and treatment of fractures, malunion, nonunion or pseudarthrosis of long bones. It is intended for pediatric patients and adults of small stature.
Cortical screws attach the telescopic plate to bone. An enclosed rare earth magnet, distraction rod and planetary gears change the plate length when activated by a compatible external remote controller. Adjustment can gradually lengthen or compress the treated segment without accessing the implant through the skin.

Supply and Use
The plate is supplied sterile after gamma irradiation. The cortical screws and reusable instruments are supplied nonsterile and require sterilization before use. The fixation is nonweight bearing, and the implant is intended for removal after bone consolidation.
