The NOOSA anterior lumbar plate screw is a fixation component used with the NOOSA plate system to stabilize lumbar or lumbosacral spinal segments while fusion develops. The system provides temporary supplemental fixation from L1 to S1.
The screw is manually inserted and hand tightened through the plate. An anti-angulation locking cam restricts angular movement of the screw within the plate hole. The components are manufactured from titanium alloy, Ti6Al4V.
Surgical Approach
The system is placed through a lateral or anterolateral approach above the bifurcation of the great vessels, or an anterior approach below it. Indications include degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma, deformity, tumor, pseudarthrosis and failed fusion.
