Cemented TSI is a femoral stem for cemented hip replacement. Its SS configuration is manufactured from high-nitrogen stainless steel with a highly polished, anatomically curved body and round cross-section.
The stem is fixed within the femur using bone cement and forms the femoral support for a compatible head. The described SS version is compatible with Signature Orthopaedics ceramic femoral heads.
Cemented Configuration
Cemented TSI includes high-nitrogen stainless-steel and cobalt-chromium variants within the wider hip range. These are intended for cemented fixation, unlike the separately named cementless TSI stem. The reconstruction requires sufficient bone to support the implant.
