The DC-88 is a diagnostic ultrasound system for examinations in hospitals and medical clinics. Trained healthcare professionals use it to image, measure and analyze anatomy and fluid flow in adults, pregnant patients, children and neonates. Applications include fetal, abdominal, cardiac, vascular, musculoskeletal and urologic studies.
The mobile, software controlled system uses linear, convex and phased array transducers. It transmits ultrasound into the body and processes the returning echoes into images. B and M modes, Doppler modes and combined views support examination of structures and flow, with measurements and calculations available for assessment.
Transducers and Preparation
Transducers and needle guide brackets are supplied nonsterile and require the cleaning, disinfection or sterilization specified for their use. The system also supports tissue harmonic, three dimensional and four dimensional imaging and elastography, depending on the selected examination setup.
