The EPIQ 7 Diagnostic Ultrasound System produces ultrasound images and analyses fluid flow for diagnostic examinations. It is intended for appropriately trained healthcare professionals in clinics, hospitals and clinical point-of-care settings, with applications including abdominal, cardiac, obstetric and vascular imaging.
With software version 11.0 or later, the system supports the X11-4t transesophageal cardiac transducer. This probe uses a 2500-element phased array to provide three-dimensional cardiac imaging and operates over a frequency range of 4 to 11 MHz.

Recalls
1 of these is Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Class III is unlikely to cause harm at all → typically a labelling or documentation fault. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
