The Olympus EU-ME3 Endoscopic Ultrasound Center acquires, displays and records real-time ultrasound images when connected to compatible Olympus ultrasound endoscopes or probes. Trained healthcare professionals use it in hospitals or patient-care facilities for imaging within the gastrointestinal tract, biliary and pancreatic ducts, surrounding organs and specified other internal sites.
The center supplies driving voltage to ultrasound transducers and processes the resulting information into images and measurements. It supports B-mode, pulsed-wave Doppler and color or power Doppler imaging. Images can be stored, retrieved, printed or recorded, with movies stored in internal memory.
Other Applications and Options
Additional applications include airway, tracheobronchial, transrectal, transurethral and non-cardiac transesophageal ultrasound. Separately purchased software options enable contrast harmonic echo, elastography and shear-wave quantification. These support the corresponding imaging and measurement functions.
