The dS TorsoCardiac 1.5T coil receives magnetic resonance signals for diagnostic imaging of the torso, heart and neck. It works with an MR scanner to produce images that a trained physician interprets. The coil uses a phased-array, receive-only design.
Its flexible construction lets it bend across the patient’s body. Layers include polyurethane foil, EVA foam and a flexible circuit board carrying the coil electronics. Slots in the patient-facing surface allow the coil to conform during positioning.
Connection Components
Feed-board boxes, a cable housing and a connector sit on the upper surface along the central head-to-foot axis. These components form part of the coil assembly used with the scanner.
