TxRx Knee 15 Flare is a transmit-and-receive radiofrequency coil for knee imaging with compatible Siemens 1.5-tesla MRI systems. Its fifteen-channel phased array collects the signals used to produce diagnostic knee images.
The coil elements sit inside a rigid polycarbonate housing shaped around the knee and leg. A split-top design allows positioning around the patient, and one system cable connects the coil to the MRI scanner.
Coil Design
The coil incorporates active PIN-diode switching and passive blocking circuitry. It is reusable and noninvasive, with patient contact limited to the examination period. The housing and connector arrangement provide the mechanical interface between the positioned knee, coil and compatible imaging system.

Recalls
8 of these are Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
