Vivix-S 1012N is a digital flat-panel X-ray detector for general radiography of human anatomy. The listed FXRD-1012NA and FXRD-1012NB models provide a 10 by 12 inch imaging area and transfer images through a wired Gigabit Ethernet connection.
A scintillator converts X-rays into visible light, which an amorphous-silicon photodetector array converts into electrical signals. These are digitized for display using a connected operating computer and X-ray generator.
Model Differences
FXRD-1012NA uses a cesium iodide scintillator, while FXRD-1012NB uses Gadox. The detector is not an X-ray controller, and its intended use excludes mammography.
