The LIA Console creates real time cross sectional images of tissue microstructure in the tracheobronchial tree using optical coherence tomography. It is used with the LIA-1 catheter. The imaging function supports tissue evaluation and has not been evaluated for distinguishing normal tissue from specific abnormalities or diseases.
The console supplies light, receives the catheter’s returned optical signals and processes them into images. A motorized driving unit rotates the catheter’s optical probe to create a 360 degree view. An articulated support arm positions and stabilizes that driving unit.
Image Controls
A touchscreen and OCTICA software control image acquisition, processing and display. The console contains the imaging engine and computing components, while the compatible catheter provides the optical pathway at the tissue.
