AVIEW Modeler reviews and segments medical images for preoperative surgical planning. It works with DICOM information from a medical scanner and provides multiplanar views, volume rendering and surface rendering on a separate computer.
Manual and semiautomatic tools define regions of interest using painting, thresholding, region growing and related operations. Mesh tools smooth, cut and repair the generated surface model.
Model Output
The software exports models in open formats such as STL for 3D printing. Physical models produced from those files are intended for visualization and education only, and are not for diagnostic use.
