Ezra Flash reduces image noise in selected MRI images of the head. It processes noncontrast examinations acquired on 3 tesla Siemens and GE scanners for patients older than 18. Supported sequences are sagittal T1, axial T2 and axial FLAIR.
The software uses a convolutional neural network to filter DICOM image data and creates an enhanced copy. Both the original images and the processed images remain available to the radiologist. Processing occurs without a separate user interface.
Image Review
Radiologists view the enhanced images on existing picture archiving and communications workstations. Other software handles receipt and delivery of the DICOM files, while Ezra Flash performs the image processing step.
