VirtuOst VFA is software for assessing vertebral deformities from sagittal sections of a spine-containing CT scan, with or without contrast. It helps a physician identify existing vertebral fractures and assess future osteoporosis-related fracture risk as part of osteoporosis management.
The software places six points on a vertebral body’s upper and lower endplates. The user checks or adjusts them, and the program calculates front, middle and rear vertebral heights. Ratios between these heights quantify deformation and support classification of fracture type and grade.

Reporting Scope
Classification of deformity type, fracture grade and fracture risk is reported only for levels T4 through L4. The report includes measurements and the source sagittal images for physician interpretation and treatment decisions.
