The Codonics Safe Label System 700i is a point of care station for identifying medication vials and printing labels for prepared drugs. It scans barcodes and checks drug identity against a hospital managed formulary before generating the secondary container label.
RFID equipped configurations can read tags and encode formulary information onto passive RFID labels for use by other applications. The system combines a barcode scanner, RFID reading and encoding functions, software and a label printer.

Perioperative Workflow
The compact station is designed to fit on an anesthesia supply cart for use during clinical and surgical procedures. Machine readable barcode information indexed to the verified formulary remains the basis for drug labeling, alongside the human readable information printed for staff.
