The V80 Anesthetic Vaporizer adds desflurane vapour at a controlled concentration to the fresh gas supplied by an anesthesia delivery system. It connects to that system using Selectatec-compatible plug-in connectors and provides a concentration setting range of 2 to 18 volume percent.
A front sight glass shows the amount of anesthetic agent remaining. Indicators report operating status, absent or low delivery, refill needs and battery status. The vaporizer is intended for licensed clinicians and qualified anesthesia personnel who have received training in its use.
Use Environment
The V80 is unsuitable for MRI environments and cannot be used in mobile vehicles, aircraft or ships. These restrictions apply to the vaporizer even though it is a component of a larger anesthesia delivery system.
