The RESPOND Ventilator Kit provides mechanical breathing support through continuous or intermittent positive pressure ventilation. It is intended for pediatric and adult patients weighing at least 38 kg who require mechanical ventilation, with either invasive or noninvasive delivery.
The ventilator uses electronically controlled blowers and valves to deliver pressure control or volume modes. An oxygen mixing module blends oxygen with air. Separate inspiratory and expiratory control mechanisms regulate delivered pressure and positive end-expiratory pressure.
Clinical Use
Qualified, trained personnel use the ventilator under a licensed clinician’s direction. Intended settings include hospitals, transport within hospitals, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care and subacute care facilities. Compatible patient circuits support passive heat and moisture exchange or heated humidification.
