SENDERO is a microcatheter intended for the peripheral vasculature to infuse diagnostic and therapeutic agents. The FDA filing describes a single-lumen catheter with variable stiffness, a radiopaque marker at its distal end, and a Luer-lock hub at its proximal end.
A hydrophilic coating on the shaft reduces friction during navigation through the vasculature. Under fluoroscopic guidance, the catheter is delivered to a target location, where its lumen allows diagnostic or therapeutic agents to enter the peripheral vasculature.
