The ZOLL Arrhythmia Management System Sensor is a body-worn component that acquires physiological signals for the system. It attaches to a disposable adhesive patch on the upper left chest and sends raw data wirelessly to a gateway.
The gateway relays those data to a remote server, where software processes them into ECG, heart rate, respiration rate, activity and posture information. The sensor uses Bluetooth to communicate with the gateway, which forwards data over Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
Monitoring Scope
The prescription system is used in clinic and home settings for patients aged 21 years or older who need monitoring for nonlethal cardiac arrhythmias. The sensor is rechargeable, with recharging typically required after five days.
