The Gmate Voice Blood Glucose Monitoring System measures glucose in fresh capillary whole blood for home self-testing by a person with diabetes. It is intended for one user and must not be shared. Its speaking feature provides audible test results.
The meter works with Gmate blood glucose test strips. A glucose oxidase reaction at the strip electrodes produces an electrical signal that the meter measures and displays as a glucose result.
Sampling and Use Limits
Samples may be taken from the fingertips, hand, upper arm, forearm, calf or thigh. Alternative site testing is limited to times when glucose is not changing rapidly. The system is not intended for diabetes diagnosis or screening, or for neonatal use.
