Oh’Care Lite Smart glucose test strips are used with the compatible Oh’Care Lite Smart meter to measure glucose in fresh capillary whole blood. They support home monitoring of diabetes control by a single person and are not intended for diabetes diagnosis, screening or neonatal testing.
The strip produces an electrical current that is sent to the meter for measurement of glucose concentration. Blood may be taken from a fingertip or from the other sampling sites specified for the system. The meter and strips must not be shared between patients.
Alternative Sampling Sites
The permitted alternative sites are the ventral palm, back of the hand, upper arm, forearm, calf and thigh. Alternative-site testing is limited to periods when glucose is not changing rapidly.
