Blowfish Transbronchial Micro-Infusion Catheter delivers therapeutic or diagnostic agents labeled for airway, tracheal or bronchial administration into selected airway regions. A bronchoscope guides the catheter to the target in the tracheobronchial tree.
Inflating a polymer balloon moves a small stainless-steel infusion port into the airway wall for delivery to bronchial tissue, including the adventitia. The catheter combines a metal-and-polymer shaft, pressure-relief valve and proximal Luer fittings.
