EasyPath RF Introducer Sheath extends the working channel of a flexible bronchoscope and provides radiofrequency cutting and coagulation in the upper airways and tracheobronchial tree. It is a sterile, single-use monopolar device.
The 2.65 mm outer-diameter shaft has braid-reinforced tubing and a removable stylet for advancement. After stylet removal, the lumen accepts standard 2.0 mm bronchoscopic accessories such as needles or biopsy forceps.
Visualization and Fit
The sheath requires a bronchoscope channel at least 2.8 mm in diameter. A distal electrode delivers RF energy, while visible markers indicate movement relative to the scope and radiopaque markers assist fluoroscopic localization when used.
