The Forsvall Biopsy Gun drives a compatible Forsvall needle to obtain prostate tissue samples. It is the reusable mechanical component of the biopsy needle system, while the needle is supplied for single use.
A spring-loaded mechanism operates the needle with its side sampling notch. Pulling the gun’s handle tensions an internal carriage connected to the needle’s outer tube and moves the loading pin along a guide curve to prepare the mechanism.
