SOL-M slip-tip low dead space syringe is a sterile, single-use, one-millilitre syringe for injecting fluids into or withdrawing fluids from the body. This configuration is supplied without a needle and uses a slip-tip connection for a compatible fitting.
Its three-piece piston design consists of a barrel, plunger and stopper. Moving the plunger moves the stopper within the barrel to draw in or expel fluid. The syringe’s specified maximum residual dead space is 0.02 millilitres.
Materials
The barrel and plunger are polypropylene, and the stopper is isoprene rubber. Silicone is used as a lubricant. The syringe is sterilized with ethylene oxide.
