Guide Pins and Guide Screws are orthopedic fixation and guidance components used during bone procedures. The range includes threaded and nonthreaded designs in different diameters and lengths, with varied point geometries.
Indications include fixation of bone fractures and bone reconstruction, as well as guiding insertion of other implants. The design selected depends on the fixation or guidance task within the procedure.
Traction Use
The broader pin and screw range is also indicated for placement through the skin to permit traction on the skeletal system. These are physical bone fasteners and guides used with the associated orthopedic technique.
