The SECURE Screw 60 mm provides internal fixation for small bones and bone fragments. It is used for fractures and non-unions, fusion of small joints, bunion procedures and osteotomies. The screw is intended for permanent implantation, although it can be removed.
The headless screw is cannulated and partially threaded. Its threads provide compression between fracture fragments. It is manufactured from a single piece of 316LVM stainless steel, and its drive connection accepts a T8 hexalobe driver for insertion and removal.
Supply and Placement
The screw is supplied sterile following gamma irradiation and is for single use. It must not be reused or resterilized. Placement uses a commercially available guidewire, drill bit and driver. The 60 mm screw is one of five available lengths.
