Zimmer Nexel Total Elbow is a cemented, constrained prosthesis that replaces the humeroulnar articulation. Humeral and ulnar components connect through an axle and bearing assembly to provide the replacement elbow motion.
The humeral and ulnar components are titanium alloy. Their bearings use vitamin E highly cross-linked polyethylene, while the axle pin and humeral screws are cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy.
Stem and Articulation Design
The stems fix within the humeral and ulnar canals using bone cement. A humeral flange accepts graft, and the polished ulnar eye contacts the polymer bearings. Multiple sizes and right or left configurations provide fitting options within the linked assembly.
