This Arsenal sacral polyaxial screw is an implant component of a posterior spinal fixation system. It works with the system’s rods and connectors to provide fixation during fusion surgery outside the cervical spine. The sacral screw is one of the titanium, self tapping screw configurations in the Arsenal range.
The fixation system is used as an adjunct to fusion with autograft or allograft bone. Its adult indications include degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma, stenosis, spinal curvature, tumour, pseudarthrosis and failed previous fusion. Placement is through a posterior approach.
