M.U.S.T. rods are spinal fixation components that connect with the screws of Medacta’s M.U.S.T. pedicle screw system. The listed family includes sterile, bent cobalt-chromium rods with a 5.5 mm diameter.
The rods form part of a construct used to stabilize the thoracic or lumbar spine during fusion. The wider system combines rods with pedicle screws, set screws and, where needed, cross connectors.

Rod Design
The extension design has a hexagonal interface at one end and a rounded, bullet-shaped nose at the other for insertion through tissue using a dedicated handle. Straight, bent and dual-bent rod configurations are available in the wider system, with titanium alloy or cobalt-chromium alloy options. The material and curvature depend on the selected rod.
