Loop-X is a mobile robotic X-ray system for adult and pediatric imaging. It acquires two dimensional radiographs, real time fluoroscopy and three dimensional cone beam CT images for diagnostic and interventional procedures involving bone, soft tissue and implants.
A ring gantry carries an X-ray source and collimator on one arm and a flat panel detector on another. The arms move independently to accommodate patient positioning and image regions away from the center of the ring.
Listed Item
Loop-X Mobile Imaging Robot: Mobile (within an imaging facility) assembly of diagnostic x-ray computed tomography (CT) and fluoroscopic devices intended to acquire, display and process both: 1) two- and/or three-dimensional (3-D) cross-sectional (tomographic) images; and 2) real-time fluoroscopic images, from any part of the body for a variety of applications.
Image Connections
A DICOM interface exchanges images and patient worklists with clinical information systems. A separate navigation interface supports connection to image guidance systems. External optical tracking can register the gantry with another coordinate system so instruments can be displayed relative to its images.
