The NeoCoil ECG CT Gating Device acquires a patient’s electrocardiogram and supplies timing signals to a compatible CT scanner for cardiac imaging. It is an accessory for Toshiba Aquilion ONE and Aquilion PRIME scanners, used for gating rather than patient monitoring.
ECG lead wires connect the patient to a physiologic acquisition module. That module processes the ECG and sends it wirelessly to a receiver interface module. The receiver generates an analog waveform and trigger pulses that can be viewed on the scanner console.
Trigger Interface
The system uses four ECG lead wires and vector based signal processing. Its trigger output has a 5 volt pulse lasting 100 milliseconds. Indicators report lead connection, wireless connection and battery status.
